Ogment for Curriculum Creation and Management in K12 Wins Best Cross-Curricular Solution

Burlington, Mass — Last week the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) announced that Ogment®, from EvoText, won the 2017 CODiE Award for Best Cross Curricular Solution. CODiEs recognize exceptional education technology products that bring real solutions to schools. Ogment also won the CODiE in 2016 for Best Cross-Curricular Solution.

Ogment, developed by EvoText, is a curriculum creation and management solution that is subject-agnostic—it can be used for every subject in every grade level to build curriculum maps, courses, lessons and assessments. It is the only product on the market today that tracks curriculum from the curriculum mapping phase through lesson planning, instruction, assessment, and progress monitoring to help districts continuously improve curriculum more easily and efficiently. Because everything in Ogment is dynamic and not static, it is easy to evaluate what’s working and then easily change what isn’t. Designed with K-12 educators, Ogment helps teachers and administrators do their jobs better and in less time.

Ogment has been recognized with more awards beyond SIIA’s CODiE. In the past few months, Ogment has won three BESSIE Awards in addition to winning this year’s CODiE and also being named finalist in two other 2017 CODiE categories: Best Classroom Management Solution, and Best K-12 Course or Learning Management Solution. Ogment also was a two-time finalist in the Association of American Publisher’s (AAP) REVERE Awards.

“To win the CODiE two years in a row for Best Cross-Curricular Solution is a testament to the need for a solution like this in K-12 education,” said Johanna Wetmore, CEO and co-founder of EvoText. “I am so proud of our team. They’ve delivered what educators told us they needed.”

Regarding being a finalist in three categories and winning one, Ms. Wetmore said, “In these cases, it really is an honor just to be nominated. We were among some well-known, heavily used products in those categories, and we’re thrilled that we are starting to be recognized with them.”
